This is a review of the 9th generation of consoles which include the PS5, the series X and the Nintendo switch i will not be reviewing about any consoles varetaions eg.(series S, ps5 digtal, switch oled) as there isn’t anything to talk about for them.

Xbox series X (2020)

This is the console with the best specs by far of the 9th generation of consoles and having a amazing backwards compatibility service with some old games getting a frame rate boost and running substantially better than they used to eg. Sonic unleashed a Xbox 360 game has been boosted to 60 FPS from it original 30 FPS and it keeps stable the entire way through the game which the game was infamous for barely running 30 FPS on the 360

Gamepass sells the series x for its value with all the games you get for a small monthly fee which beats Sony’s Playstation now service which is awful in comparison as its much more expensive for how much less you get that you can achelly download.

Though the lack of exclusives on the console is really disappointing as that is the reason to buy the console as all the Xbox exclusives release on Xbox one and PC at the same time which makes it a low intensive to get the series x

Ps5 (2020)

This console Is very slightly weaker so the series x and doesn’t have the amazing backwards compatibility (besides PS4 games) But I think the exclusives sell the the ps5 though currently only have 5 true First party exclusives for ps5 only (2021) with other games also released on ps4. Though it beat the series x as that has no First party series x exclusives.

The controller is the best I have used it feels the best to use with its weight and the extra features like the pressured triggers and haptic feedback make some games feel more emerrsive than ever.

At the moment there really isn’t anything bad about the ps5 with the exception of the box arts of the games they just look like PS4 game but with a white banner which is just a huge nitpick.

Nintendo switch (2017)

By far the weakest console out of the three but has the most exclusives out of the three as it is a console/portable hybrid though the consoles weak specs has made difficult to port third party games on the system especially after 2021 as more cloud versions are releasing on the switch as it is easier and costs less money than porting the game to switch which removes the point of using the console portably in the first place as you need a constent internet connection and games that do get ported on the switch are always inferior to the other ports of the game as the games usually runs at a lower frame rate and can dip lower than that.

The specs are getting so bad that even First party games even suffer from frame rate drops which just shows that the chip set is 5 years old and extremely outdated and really needs a revision and the Switch oled doesn’t count as the console as no boost in Specs at all.
